The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has released the official notification for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online from 21 April 2026 to 20 July 2026 (Extended) through the official website.

Application Fee
- General / BC-I / BC-II / EWS: Rs. 1300 (Single Paper) | Rs. 1500 (Both Papers)
- SC / ST / Divyang: Rs. 700 (Single Paper) | Rs. 800 (Both Papers)
- PVTG: Rs. 500 (Single Paper) | Rs. 600 (Both Papers)
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: As per Jharkhand Government Rules
- Age Relaxation: As per government norms
Eligibility
- Paper I (Class 1–5): 10+2 with 50% marks + D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / Graduation with Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Paper II (Class 6–8): Graduation with 50% + B.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / B.Ed (Special Education).
- Final year appearing candidates are also eligible.
- 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/BC/PVTG/Divyang candidates.
